Sunflower Update: Lviv Run
It has been an eventful week. Writing now from Warsaw, just got back here from Ukraine a couple days ago, and we are preparing to
The Sunflower Project delivers emergency relief aid to the people of Ukraine. We are a charity relief organization, established in the United States as a 501c3 Nonprofit Corporation and in Poland & Ukraine as a charitable foundation. The project was created by Kevin Raison and Rick Wilson within a few days of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. We raise money and support in the US, and use it to purchase and deliver food, clothing, medical supplies, animal feed, building materials, and other humanitarian aid. We also use your donations to support de-mining activities and UXO education in the liberated territories of Ukraine. This project is about the very real and tangible ways that Americans can stand with Ukrainians.
The Sunflower Project has several operational bases around Ukraine. In cooperation with our partner organizations, we gather together aid supplies sourced from the US and the EU. We then provide last-mile delivery throughout Ukraine to those in need. There are no flights into Ukraine currently, and all sorts of international shipping and logistics are difficult here, so Poland has become the main hub for supplies bound for Ukraine. We maintain relationships and a small presence in Warsaw as part of our logistics chain.
